Thinker are a 3-piece folk-indie band from the south coast. They came together at the start of 2008 when singer-songwriter Charlie Bateman and old friend, Greg Harris, decided it was time to collaborate and add new dimensions and noise to Charlie’s songs. After a difficult search for the right fiddle player, Chris “Spud” Edwards was discovered whilst selling a violin on ebay. A common musical language has led to the writing of new material incorporating themes of love, war, and politics and drawing on Irish, English, Punk and Indie influences.    Over the past couple of years they have played an amazing variety of gigs across the south coast from London to Cornwall. Festival, pub and music venue audiences have enjoyed Thinker’s driving fiddle and guitar tunes as well as their tender acoustic numbers.
